At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather Apr.30/11

Paragliding Weather summary based on 05:00 forecasts. High pressure establishing with west wind yielding clearing skies.  Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast to 10:00 as northwest to 14 km/hr, changing to west at 20 km/hr through 21:00.  Fraser River Valley ground stations forecasting valley winds west to 10 km/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as light and variable through 16:00. Ground stations in Bellingham & Seattle calling for southwest winds to 16 km/hr.  30% POP, wait for cloudbase to lift,  marginal day for P3 intermediate paraglider pilots. 

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -3.1: advanced.  Southwest wind and advanced lapse rate should make Blanchard a go for P4 advanced paraglider pilots today 11:00 on. Watch for OD potential.  Gate is locked and requires hike in. Chances 70/30.

2. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.5C/1000 ft: intermediate. Good intermediate conditions if the clouds open up.   Intermediate P3 pilots snowshoe and paraglide at Mackenzie. Chances 60/40.

3. Paragliding Whistler:  lapse -2.5: intermediate.  Good intermediate conditions if the clouds open up.  Whistler Paragliding team Advanced P4 members only.   Chances 60/40.

4. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -3.0: advanced.  West wind may get strong post 14:00 and cloud base may not lift with 30% POP.  If cloud base lifts, expect advanced lapse rate and meteorological west wind combined with arrival of sea breeze to produce strong conditions. Woodside post 13:00 for P4 advanced paraglider pilots.  A window for P2 novice paragliding pilots may be possible pre 11:00 and post 17:00. Chances 60/40.

5. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -3.1: advanced.  Strong lapse rate at Tiger mountain for epic paragliding this afternoon, advanced P4 paraglider pilots.  30% POP and potential over development could shut it down. Chances 40/60.

Ground stations in Bellingham & Seattle calling for southwest winds to 16 km/hr.  Good afternoon for P3 intermediate paraglider pilots.

Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast as NE to 18 km/hr. Ground stations in Bellingham & Seattle calling for W winds to 16 km/hr.  Marginal paragliding day.
