At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather Apr.29/11

Paragliding Weather summary based on 11:00 forecasts. High pressure establishing with west wind yielding clearing skies.  Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast to 22:00 as west to 20 km/hr.  Fraser River Valley ground stations forecasting valley winds  west to 15 km/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as west to 10 km/hr through 22:00. Ground stations in Bellingham & Seattle calling for southwest winds to 16 km/hr.  Good afternoon for P3 intermediate paraglider pilots. 

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -2.5C/1000 ft: Intermediate.  Southwest wind and intermediate lapse rate should make Blanchard ideal for P3 intermediate pilots today 12:00 on. Chances 90/10.

2. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -2.5: intermediate.  West wind and moderate lapse rate favor Tiger mountain for epic paragliding this afternoon, intermediate P3 paraglider pilots. Persistent cloud cover and 30%  POP could shut it down.  Chances 70/30. 

3. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -2.3: intermediate.  West wind may get strong post 14:00 and cloud base may not lift with 30% POP.  If cloud base lifts, expect higher than forecast lapse rate and meteorological west wind combined with arrival of sea breeze to produce strong conditions. Woodside post 13:00 for P3 intermediate paraglider pilots. Chances 60/40.

4. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.8: advanced. Strong conditions if the clouds open up.   Advanced P4 pilots snowshoe and paraglide at Mackenzie. Chances 50/50.

5. Paragliding Whistler:  lapse -2.8: advanced. Strong conditions if the clouds open up.  Whistler Paragliding team Advanced P4 members only.   Chances 50/50.

6. Paragliding Vancouver: Lapse -2.7: advanced. Watch for west winds aloft and potential OD over summit. Grouse Mountain Flying Team only, advanced P4 paraglider pilots.  Chances 30/70.
