Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather: May 6

Paragliding weather forecast for the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler, Pemberton areas. High pressure brings sunny skies.  Vancouver Paragliding - 3000ft winds aloft light and variable, becoming northwest to 9 km/hr as the day progreses. Surface winds in the Fraser Valley east to 10 km/hr becoming west to 10 km/hr as the day progresses. Seattle Paragliding 3000ft winds aloft northeast to 10 km/hr throughout the day. Valley winds east to 10 km/hr becoming west  to northwest to 15 km/hr as the day progresses. Good day for paragliding wiht strong lapse rates and advanced conditions in Whistler and Chilliwack.

3. Chilliwack paragliding: lapse rate: -3.0C/1000ft: P4 advanced. Woodside 09:00-12:00 & 18:00-20:00 P2 novice pilots, be mindfull of strong laspe rate. P4 advanced pilots 12:00-18:00. Chances 80:20.

4. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse rate -1.7C/1000ft: novice P2 paragliders. Blanchard 10:00-13:00 & 16:00-20:00 P2 novice paragliders. 13:00-16:00 P3 intermediate paragliding. Wait for outflow to subside. Chances 80:20.

Paragliding weather forecast for the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler, Pemberton areas. Transitioning pressure brings mixed skies.  Vancouver Paragliding - 3000ft winds aloft light and variable. Surface winds in the Fraser Valley east to 10 km/hr becoming west to 15 km/hr as the day progresses. Seattle Paragliding 3000ft winds aloft southwest to 15 km/hr becoming west and easing to 8 km/hr as the day progresses. Valley winds south to 18 km/hr. Strong day for advanced paragliding in Belingham and Seattle due to blue holes developing and high lapse rate. Marginal elsewhere due to low cloudbase and instability in morning with overdevelopment and rain easing to 40% POP in afternoon.

Vancouver paragliding - 3000ft winds  light and variable, wit  valley winds light east outflow becoming light west inflro. Seattle paragliding - 3000ft winds 8km/hr from the soutwest becoming light and variable as the day progresses. Surface winds north to 15km/hr early, becoming light and variable as the day progresses. Not a good day for paragliding in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler and Pemberton.

Paragliding Vancouver - winds aloft at 3000ft southeast to 19 km/hr becoming south to 15km/hr as the day progresses. Surface winds in the Fraser Valley light east and becoming light west as the day progresses. Paragliding Seattle: winds aloft at 3000ft southwest to 17km/hr becoming more westerly and easing to 14 km/hr as the day progresses. Surface winds southeast to 15km/hr early, becoming light and variable as the day progresses. OK day for paragliding at Blanchard: not good elsewhere due to 40% POP and outflow aloft.
