At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Weather: June 10

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Whistler, Pemberton, Bellingham & Seattle area. Low cloudbase and isolated showers throughout due to low pressure to northwest. Sunny breaks in Bellingham. Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft light and variable with valley winds outflow to 15 km/hr becoming inflow to 15 km/hr as the day progresses. Paragliding in Seattle:  winds aloft at 3000ft light and variable, with valley winds  south to 17 km/hr. With low cloud base throughout, with the exception of Bellingham, a marginal paragliding day.

1. Paragliding in Bellingham. Lapse rate -2.4 C/1000ft: intermediate paraglider pilots. Blanchard often has a blue hole when its socked in elsewhere.  10:00-14:00 & 16:00-20:00 P2 novice paragliding. 14:00-16:00 P3 intermediate pilots. Chances 60:40.

2. Paraglidng in Seattle. Lapse rate -2.6C/1000ft: intermediate paragliding.  Wait for Tiger summit to clear cloud and anabatic flow establishment. 11:00-20:00 P3 intermediate paraglider pilots.  Watch for OD potential. Chances 50:50.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Whistler, Pemberton, Bellingham & Seattle area paragliding weather forecast. Low pressure to northwest brings 40-60% POP throughout excepting Bellingham & Seattle.  Clearing trend in afternoon in Vancouver, Pemberton, Bellingham & Seattle.  Paragliding Vancouver - 3000 ft winds aloft southeast to 15 km/hr diminishing to 9km/hr as the day progresses: valley winds light and variable becoming west to 10 km/hr. Paragliding in Seattle - 3000ft winds aloft southwest to 10 km/hr becoming northeast to 8 km/hr as the day progresses; valley winds light and variable becoming southwest to 18 km/hr in the afternoon. With 40%-60%POP and low cloud base throughout, with the exception of Bellingham & Seattle, a marginal paragliding day.

Seattle Paragliding: lapse rate -2.9C/1000ft: advanced paragliding.  Wait for Tiger summit to clear cloud and anabatic flow establishment.  If blue holes develop will be strong and unstable day for advanced paragliding pilots. 11:00-20:00 P4 paraglider pilots.  Watch for OD potential. Chances 30:70.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Whistler, Pemberton, Bellingham & Seattle areas. Low pressure brings showers and low cloud base.  Clearing trend in afternoon in Vancouver, Pemberton and Bellingham.  Paragliding Vancouver - winds at 3000 ft west to southwest to 14 km/hr, with valley winds west to 10 km/hr. Seattle Paragliding - winds at 3000ft southwest to 26 km/hr easing to 19 km/hr as the day progresses: valley winds northeast to 16 km/hr becoming north in the afternoon. With 40% POP or more and low cloud base throughout, and clearing trend late in the day, best wait for Sunday for better paragliding prospects.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area paragliding weather forecasts. Transition to low pressure brings mixed skies, increasing cloudiness and wind. Windy conditions called for in Pemberton & Chilliwack.  Breezy conditions in Bellingham & Seattle. Summits in Chilliwack, Pemberton and Seattle may be in cloud for morning and parts of the day. Vancouver Paragliding - 3000 ft winds aloft southeast to 24 km/hr to 14:00 becoming south to 9km/hr as the day progresses. Valley winds east to 20 km/hr and gusting to 30 km/hr, becoming west to 20 km/hr and gusting to 30 km/hr. Seattle Paragliding - 3000ft winds aloft southwest 20 km/hr throughout. Valley winds south to 30 km/hr. Too unstable in terms of wind & cloud: not a good day for paragliding.

Paragliding weather forecasts for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler, Pemberton area. High pressure and sunny skies. Vancouver Paragliding - 3000 ft winds aloft light and viarable to 11:00 becoming west to 37 km/hr through 22:00.  Valley winds east outlfow to 10 km/hr becoming inflow to 10 km/hr as the day progresses. Seattle Paragliding - 3000ft winds aloft northeast to 13 km/hr becoming light and variable light and variable post 16:00. Valley winds east to 5 km/hr becoming west to 10 km/hr as the day progresses. Great day for paragliding in Seattle & Pemberton.

1. Seattle Paragliding: lapse rate -2.8C/1000ft: P4 advanced paraglider pilots. Tiger Mtn. 09:00-12:00 & 18:00-21:00 P2 novice paragliders.  12:00-18:00 P4 advanced paragliding. Sunny skies and nice lapse rate, should be epic. Chances 90:10. 

2. Pemberton Paragliding: lapse rate -2.5C/1000ft: P3 intermediate paragliding. Lower Mackenzie 09:00-11:00 & 17:00-20:00 P2 novice paragliders. P3 intermediate paragliding 12:00-17:00. Watch for possible Whistler Express arrival due to west wind aloft increasing through the day. Chances 90:10.

3. Whistler Paragliding: lapse rate: -3.3C/1000ft: advanced P4 paragliding. Whistler team paragliders only 09:00-21:00. Strong lapse rate, for an epic day: careful out there. Chances 90:10.

4. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse rate -2.6C/1000ft: intermediate P3 paragliders. Blanchard 10:00-13:00 & 17:00-20:00 P2 novice paragliders. 13:00-17:00 P3 intermediate paragliding. Wait for outflow and anabatic conditons to subside and seabreeze to establish. Great day for Blanchard with a descent lapse rate. Chances 80:20.

5. Vancouver Paragliding: lapse rate -2.2C/1000ft: P2 novice paragliders.  Grouse 10:00-20:00 P4 advanced GMFT pilots only. Watch for increasing west wind aloft as day progresses. Chances 80:20.

6. Chiliwack Paragliding: lapse rate -3.0C/1000ft: advanced P4 paragliding pilots. Watch for possible strong west winds late afternoon to early evening.  P4 advanced pilots 11:00-20:00. Chances 70:30.
