Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Weather & wind forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area paraglider pilots. Cloud, rain and outflow due to low pressure to northwest. Vancouver paragliding weather synopsis:  3000ft winds aloft south to southeast to 28 km/hr, with valley winds east to south to 20 km/hr. Seattle paragliding weather synopsis: 3000ft winds aloft south to southwest to 50 km/hr, with valley winds south to 32 km/hr. Rain, and strong south to southeast winds in the valley and aloft combine to make  an unsatisfactory weather day for paragliding throughout.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton paragliding weather forecast. Low pressure to west brings increasing cloud, showers and outflow. Paragliding in Vancouver - winds at 3000ft southeast to 17 km/hr becoming SSE to 33 km/hr through 22:00. Valley winds east to 10 km/hr. Paragliding in Seattle: winds at 3000ft southeast to 21 km/hr easing to SSE to 10 km/hr. Valley winds southeast to 16 km/hr becoming south as the day progresses. With 60% POP forecast, and outflow winds aloft, not a good day for paragliding.

Paragliding weather forecasts for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler, Pemberton area. Mixed skies due to transitioning pressure. Vancouver Paragliding - 3000 ft winds aloft light and viarable.  Valley winds east to 5 km/hr becoming inflow to 10 km/hr as the day progresses. Seattle Paragliding - 3000ft winds aloft light and variable. Valley winds east to 5 km/hr becoming west to 10 km/hr as the day progresses. Good day for paragliding in Seattle,  Bellingham and Pemberton.

1. Paragliding Seattle: lapse rate -2.6C/1000ft: intermediate P3 paragliding. Tiger 09:00-12:00 & 17:00-21:00 P2 novice paragliders.  12:00-17:00 P3 intermediate paragliding. Sunny skies and nice lapse rate, should be epic. Chances 90:10. 

2. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse rate -2.6C/1000ft: intermediate P3 paragliders. Blanchard 09:00-13:00 & 17:00-20:00 P2 novice paragliders. 13:00-17:00 P3 intermediate paragliding. Sunny skies and nice lapse rate. Chances 90:10.

3. Pemberton Paragliding: lapse rate -2.8C/1000ft: P4 advanced paragliding. Lower Mackenzie 09:00-12:00 & 17:00-20:00 P2 novice paragliders. P4 advanced paragliding 12:00-17:00. Chances 80:20.

4. Whistler Paragliding: lapse rate: -3.5C/1000ft: XXX advanced P4 paragliding.  Whistler team paragliders only 09:00-21:00. Strong lapse rate, careful out there. Chances 60:40. 

5. Vancouver Paragliding: lapse rate -2.3C/1000ft: P2 novice paragliders.  Grouse 10:00-20:00 P4 advanced GMFT pilots only. Chances 60:40.

Paragliding Vancouver - winds at 3000 ft light and variable.  Valley winds east to 5 km/hr becoming inflow to 10 km/hr as the day progresses. Paragliding Seattle - winds at 3000ft light and variable becoming northeast to 19 km/hr after 16:00. Valley winds east to 5 km/hr becoming west to 10 km/hr as the day progresses. Good day for paragliding throughout. Strong lapse rate in Chiliwack and Whistler for advanced conditions mid day.

Paragliding weather forecast for the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler, Pemberton areas. High pressure brings sunny skies.  Vancouver Paragliding - 3000ft winds aloft east to 13km/hr becoming southeast to 11km/hr as the day progresses.  Surface winds in the Fraser Valley east to 10 km/hr becoming west to 5 km/hr as the day progresses. Seattle Paragliding 3000ft winds aloft southeast to 27 km/hr easing to 10 km/hr as the day progresses. Valley winds east to 10 km/hr becoming northwest to 16 km/hr as the day progresses. OK day for paragliding with strong lapse rates and advanced conditions in Whistler and Chilliwack.  Watch for leeside due to east winds aloft.
