Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Paraglider weather forecast for the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Whistler, Pemberton, Bellingham & Seattle areas. Low pressure brings rain and low cloudbase throughout. Vancouver area paragliding - valley winds west to 10 km/hr with 3000 ft winds aloft southeast to 24 km/hr becoming light and variable as the day progresses. Seattle area paragliding - valley winds southwest to 16 km/hr with 3000 ft winds aloft southwest to 23 km/hr. Not a good day for paragliding in the Vancouver - Seattle area corridor.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Whistler, Pemberton, Bellingham & Seattle area. Low cloudbase and isolated showers throughout due to low pressure to southwest. Sunny breaks in Bellingham & Vancouver. Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft light and variable with valley winds becoming west inflow to 10 km/hr as the day progresses. Paragliding in Seattle: winds aloft at 3000ft north to 8 km/hr, becoming light and variable as the day progresses, with valley winds southwest to 15 km/hr. With low cloud base and scattered showers throughout, with the exception of Vancouver & Bellingham, a marginal paragliding day.

iParaglide Right Site paragliding weather ranking:

1. Paragliding in Bellingham. Lapse rate -2.6 C/1000ft: intermediate paraglider pilots. Blanchard will likely be clear today, with a decent lapse rate. 09:00-13:00 & 17:00-20:00 P2 novice paragliding. 13:00-17:00 P3 intermediate pilots. Chances 80:20.

2. Paragliding in Vancouver. Lapse rate -2.5C/1000ft: intermediate paragliding.  Grouse Mountain Team pilots only.  Should be good provided summit doesn't get cap cloud later in afternoon. 10:00-20:00 Chances 70:30.

Bellingham, Seattle, Vancouver, Chilliwack, Whistler & Pemberton area paragliding weather forecast. Rain, low cloudbase and the possibility of thunder showers throughout: due to low pressure. Paragliding Vancouver - valley winds west to 10 km/hr with 3000ft winds aloft southeast 17km/hr becoming 22km/hr southwest late afternoon. Paragliding Seattle - valley winds southwest to 16 km/hr with winds aloft light and variable, becoming southwest to 18 km/hr post 16:00. Not a good day for paragliding today in the Seattle-Vancouver corridor.

Weather forecast for paraglider pilots in the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Whistler, Pemberton, Bellingham & Seattle areas. Rain and low cloudbase throughout due to low pressure. Vancouver area paragliding - valley winds southwest to 15 km/hr with winds aloft at 3000ft west to 28 km/hr. Seattle area paragliding - valley winds southwest to 32 km/hr with winds aloft at 3000ft southwest at 21 km/hr and increasing to 39 km/hr as the day progresses. Vancouver - Seattle corridor not recommended for paragliding today.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Whistler, Pemberton, Bellingham & Seattle area paragliding weather forecast. Low pressure brings low cloudbase and rain throughout, with strong southwest winds. Paragliding Vancouver: 3000ft winds south to 31 km/hr becoming southwest to 35 km/hr, with valley winds southwest to 28 km/hr. Seattle paragliding: 3000ft winds aloft southwest 26 km/hr increasing to 42 km/hr as the day progresses. Valley winds south to 32 km/hr. Paragliding not recommended today.
