Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. Sunny skies and stability from ongoing high presure. Paragliding Vancouver - east early morning outflow to 5 km/hr becoming west to 10 km/hr.  Winds at 3000 ft northwest to 13 km/hr easing to 9 km/hr. Paragliding Seattle - southwest valley winds to 10 km/hr with 3000 ft winds northwest to 16 km/hr.

1. Pemberton Paragliding: -2.6C/1000ft lapse rate: intermediate.  Mackenzie 08:00-13:00 and 18:00-21:00 for P2 pilots, P3 pilots 13:00-18:00.  90:10 paragliding prospects. Another good day for smooth XC in Pemberton.  

2. Chilliwack Paragliding: -2.3C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Woodside for P2 pilots 07:00-21:00.  Bridal P2s 10:00-20:00.  Bridal should work most of the day with anabatic flows up ridge line and northwest winds aloft. 90:10 paragliding prospects. 

3. Whistler Paragliding: -2.6C/1000ft lapse rate: intermediate.  08:00-21:00 at Whistler/Blackcomb  for the Whistler flying team. 90:10 paragliding chances. 

4. Seattle Paragliding: -2.3C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. 08:00-20:00 at 
Tiger for P2 pilots.  90:10 paragliding prospects.

5. Vancouver Paragliding: - 1.5C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. GMFT members 09:00-20:00 at Grouse.  90:10 chances to fly.

Paragliding Vancouver - valley flow light east becoming west to 10 km/hr, with 3000ft winds light and variable and becoming northwest to 11 km/hr. Paragliding Seattle - north valley winds increasing to 15 km/hr, with 3000ft winds northeast to 18 km/hr.

Vancouver paragliding - light east valley outflow becoming west inflow to 10 km/hr, with winds aloft at 3000ft light and variable.  Paragliding Seattle: valley winds north to 15 km/hr with 3000ft winds northeast to 20 km/hr.

1. Paragliding Pemberton: -2.5C/1000ft lapse rate: intermediate.  Mackenzie 08:00-13:00 and 18:00-21:00 for P2 pilots, P4 pilots 13:00-18:00. Paragliding chances 90:10.  Great day for Pemberton, with smooth xc conditions.  

2. Paragliding Chilliwack: -2.3C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. P2 pilots Woodside 08:00-13:00 and 17:00-21:00 with possible P3 conditions at peak. Bridal 11:00-21:00. Bridal should be good today with 3000 ft winds light and variable.  Prospects to paraglide 90:10.

Weather forecast for paraglider pilots in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area. High pressure brings clearing to sunny skies. Paragliding Vancouver: east outflow in valley to 10 km/hr transitioning to west to 15 km/hr.  Light and variable 3000ft winds aloft. Paragliding Seattle: light east valley winds becoming sotwest to 15 km/hr, with winds aloft light and variable.

1. Paragliding Pemberton: -3.0C/1000ft lapse rate: advanced.  Mackenzie 08:00-12:00 and 17:00-21:00 for P2 pilots, P4 pilots 12:00-19:00. 90:10 prospects for paragliding.  Strong thermal day in Pemberton, with low wind aloft,  for great XC potential.  

2. Paragliding Chilliwack: -2.8C/1000ft lapse rate: advanced. P2 pilots woodside 08:00-11:00. P4 pilots at Woodside and especailly Bridal 11:00-19:00. Bridal should be epic today wiht light and variable 3000 ftwinds aloft. 90:10 paragliding chances. 

3. Paragliding Seattle: -2.6C/1000ft lapse rate: intermediate. Tiger for P2 pilots 08:00-13;00 and 19:00-21:00.  P3 conditions 13:00-19:00.  Epic day for tiger. 80:20 paragliding chances.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. Scattered showers and cloudy skies throughout with low pressure to northeast. Vancouver Paragliding - valley winds west to 10 km/hr with winds aloft at 3000ft light and variable. Seattle Paragliding - southeast valley winds to 15 km/hr and light and variable winds aloft at 3000ft. With POP >60% in most areas, the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Whistler, Pemberton, Bellingham and Seattle areas are not recommended for paragliding today.
