Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. High pressure and sunny skies. Paragliding Vancouver - light east outflow to 10 km/hr becoming inflow to 10 km/hr 3000 ft winds aloft light and variable becoming northwest to 16 km/hr. Paragliding Seattle - light valley winds with 3000 ft winds light and variable.

1. Pemberton Paragliding: -3.0C/1000ft lapse rate: advanced.  Mackenzie for P2 pilots 10:00-13:00 & 18:00-20:00 with P4 conditions 13:00-18:00.  90:10 odds for paragliding.

2. Seattle Paragliding: -2.5C/1000ft lapse rate: intermediate. Great day for Tiger for P2 to P3 pilots. P2 pilots 09:00-13:00 & 18:00-20:00 with P3 conditions 13:00-18:00. 90:10 flying chances.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area weather forecast for paraglider pilots. Mixed skies due to transitioning pressure. Vancouver Paragliding - mostly cloudy skies, with valley flow light west and increasing to 10 km/hr, with winds aloft at 3000ft light and variable and becoming northwest to 20 km/hr. Seattle Paragliding - sunny skies with valley winds northwest to 15 km/hr with 3000 ft winds north to northwest to 15 km/hr.

1. Seattle Paragliding: -2.2C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Good day for Tiger for P2 pilots. P2 pilots 09:00-20:30. Chances to fly 90:10. 

2. Bellingham Paragliding: -2.0C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Blanchard should have a blue hole, P2 pilots 10:00-20:00. Paragliding chances 90:10.

3. Vancouver Paragliding: -2.0C/1000ft lapse rate: novice.  Grouse once summit clears cloud.  GMFT 11:00-20:30. 60:40 chances to paraglide. 

4. Chilliwack Paragliding: -2.2C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Wait for summit to clear cloud and anabatic flow to establish. Lapse rate, if blue holes develop, expected to be higher than forecast.  P3 conditions 13:00-20:00. Bridal best due to northwest wind aloft. Odds for paragliding 50:50.

Paragliding in Vancouver: west inflow to 10 km/hr with 3000ft winds aloft light and variable. Paragliding in Seattle: north valley winds to 15 km/hr with winds aloft at 3000ft northeast to 18 km/hr

Paragliding in Vancouver: valley flow becoming west to 10 km/hr with winds aloft at 3000ft light and variable and becoming northwest to 30 km/hr. Paragliding in Seattle: valley winds south to 15 km/hr with 3000 ft winds aloft northeast to 18 km/hr.

1. Paragliding Seattle: -2.7C/1000ft lapse rate: advanced. Tiger for P2 pilots 08:00-12:00 and 16:00-21:00 with P4s 12:00-18:00. Paragliding chances 80:20.

2. Paragliding Bellingham: -2.3C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Blanchard for P2 pilots 09:00-21:00.  Paragliding opportunities 90:10.

3. Paragliding Vancouver: - 2.0C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Grouse for GMFT early. Watch for northwest wind aloft late. 70:30 chances for paragliding.

Vancouver paragliding - light valley outflow becoming west inflow to 10 km/hr. 3000 ft winds aloft northwest and increasing to 23 km/hr.  Seattle Paragliding - southwest valley winds to 10 km/hr with 3000 ft winds northwest to 16 km/hr.

1. Pemberton Paragliding: -2.4C/1000ft lapse rate: intermediate.  Mackenzie 08:00-13:00 and 18:00-21:00 for P2 pilots, P3 pilots 13:00-18:00.  90:10 paragliding prospects.   

2. Chilliwack Paragliding: -2.2C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Woodside for P2 pilots 07:00-13:00 wiht P3 conditions 13:00-20:00.  Bridal P2s 10:00-13:00 wiht P3 codnitons 13:00-20:00.  Bridal should work most of the day with anabatic flows up ridge line and northwest winds aloft. 90:10 paragliding prospects.
