At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area, based on data available at 06:00.

Sunny skies due to high pressure.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft light west to 11 km/hr becoming northwest to 54 km/hr. Novice Peak lapse rate -0.9C/1000. 

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft north to 13 km/hr. Novice Peak lapse rate -1.8C/1000ft.

Best sites are Bellingham proximate to sea-breeze to avoid early outflow and Seattle to avoid strong northwest aloft. Strong northwest wind aloft at 3000 ft likely to shut things down by 14:00 at most Pemberton and Fraser valley sites.

Sunny skies due to high pressure.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft northwest to 19 km/hr, becoming west and easing to 11 km/hr. light and variable.  Peak lapse rate -2.3C/1000ft: novice. 

SEA 3000 ft winds southwest to 11 km/hr increasing to 28 km/hr. Peak lapse rate -2.9C/1000ft: advanced.

Good day for paragliding in Seattle and Bellingham. Chilliwack with early outflow, but should come on by 11:00.

1. Seattle Paragliding: -2.9C/1000ft advance peak lapse rate. Strong day at Tiger.  P2 pilots 10:00-13:00 and with P4 conditions 13:00-19:30. Watch for increasing southwest wind aloft throughout. 90% chances to paraglide. 

2. Paragliding Bellingham: -2.6C/1000ft: intermediate peak lapse rate. Blanchard for P2 pilots 09:00-20:00. 90% chances for paragliding.

3. Vancouver Paragliding: - 2.3C/1000ft novice peak lapse rate. Wait for early northwest aloft wind to subside. GMFT pilots at Grouse 13:00-19:30.  90% paragliding prospects.

4. Paragliding Chilliwack: - 2.6C/1000ft intermediate lapse rate. Wait for early northeast wind aloft, strong valley outflow and lee-side conditions to end.
