Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Weather: June 1

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. Scattered showers due to low pressure. Vancouver Paragliding: east outflow valley winds to 10 km/hr becoming light inflow as the day progresses with winds aloft at 3000ft southeast to 10 km/hr becoming light and variable.   Seattle Paragliding: valley winds becoming southwest to 15 km/hr as the day progresses. 3000ft winds aloft light and variable.  With 40-70% POP throughout the region, The Vancouver-Seattle corridor is not recommended for mountain paragliding today.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area paragliding weather forecast. Clouds and rain due to low pressure. Paragliding Vancouver: east outflow valley winds to 15 km/hr with 3000ft winds aloft light and variable and becoming east to 10 km/hr as the day progresses. Paragliding Seattle: north valley winds becoming south to 15 km/hr as the day progresses. Winds aloft at 3000ft south to 16 km/hr and increasing to 29 km/hr from the southwest as the day progresses.  The Vancouver-Seattle corridor is not recommended for paragliding today.

Weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area paraglider pilots. Low pressure to northeast brings clouds and rain. Vancouver Paragliding - valley winds east to 10 km/r. Winds aloft at 3000ft southeast to 20 km/hr. Seattle Paragliding - valley winds southwest to 24 km/hr,  3000ft winds aloft west at 15 km/hr and easing to 10 km/hr. With low cloudbase,  scattered rain showers and 40-70% POP throughout, the Vancouver-Seattle corridor is not recommended for paragliding today.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area paragliding weather forecast. Transitioning pressure brings mixed skies. Paragliding in Vancouver: light inflow estabilishing in valley as day progresses, with winds aloft at 3000ft light and variable throughout. Paragliding in Seattle: valley winds west to 10 km/hr as the day progresses, with 3000ft winds aloft light and variable throughout. Increasing cloud in Pemberton, Chilliwack and Vancouver as the day progresses, with Bellingham & Seattle staying open.

1. Bellingham Paragliding: -2.2C/1000ft: novice P2 lapse rate. Blanchard 09:00-18:00 P2 pilots. Chances to paraglide 90:10. 

2. Seattle Paragliding: -2.5C/1000ft: P3 intermediate lapse rate. Tiger, P2 paragliders 09:00-12:00 & 17:00-20:00 with P3 intermediate paragliding at peak 12:00-17:00. Chances to fly 80:20.  

3. Chilliwack Paragliding: -3.0C/1000ft: P4 advanced lapse rate. Narrow window for novice P2 paraglider pilots 09:00-11:00, then watch for P4 advanced conditions and increasing cloud.  Chances to fly 60:40.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. Mixed skies due to transitioning pressure. Paragliding in Vancouver: gusty west valley winds to 40 km/hr in morning easing as the day progresses.  Winds at 3000ft light and variable becoming northwest to 15 km/hr. Paragliding in Seattle: valley winds north to 15 km/hr as the day progresses. Winds aloft at 3000ft northwest to 13 km/hr. Chiliwack valley socked in with showers until late in the day, with Bellingham opening up early, followed by Seattle and Pemberton.

1. Bellingham Paragliding: -3.0C/1000ft: advanced P4 lapse rate. Blanchard 10:00-18:00 P4 pilots. Strong day at Blanchard. Chances to fly 80:20.

2. Seattle Paragliding: -3.0C/100ft: P4 advanced lapse rate. Tiger, wait for summit to clear cloud then P4 paragliders 11:00-19:00.  Chances to fly 60:40.  

3. Pemberton Paragliding: -3.0C/1000ft: P4 advanced lapse rate. Wait for summits to clear cloud, then watch for strong conditions.  Mackenzie 13:00-19:00 for advanced paraglider pilots.  Chances to fly 50/50.
