Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Weather: June 23

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. High pressure ridge between two lows gives temporary clearing. Vancouver Paragliding: valley winds outflow to 10 km/hr, with 3000ft winds aloft east to 15 km/hr becoming south to 11 km/hr post 11:00. Paragliding Seattle - valley winds south to 10 km/hr becoming west, with 3000ft winds aloft south to 8 km/hr becoming sothwest to 25 km/hr post 16:00.  Narrow windows to fly Chillwack.  Pemberton & Vancouver open to paragliding all day. Seattle cloudy with rain, not recommmended.  Bellingham cloudy, not recommended.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. Transitioning pressure brings mixed skies. Vancouver Paragliding: valley winds light inflow west winds to 10 km/hr, with 3000ft winds aloft light and variable.  Paragliding Seattle - valley winds becoming southwest to 15 km/hr. 3000ft winds aloft light and variable and becoming southwest to 8 km/hr as the day progresses. Low cloudbase in Vancouver, Chilliwack & Pemberton until mid afternoon.  Bellingham and Seattle opening up for paragliding early.

Paragliding Vancouver: light east outflow winds becoming west inflow to 20 km/hr as the day progresses. Winds aloft at 3000ft northwest to 16 km/hr. Seattle Paragliding: valley winds becoming northeast to north to 15 km/hr as the day progresses. Winds aloft at 3000ft northwest to 9 km/hr becoming northeast to 14 km/hr after 16:00.  With 30% POP and low cloudbase Vancouver & Chilliwack, may not open up until late.  Pemberton at 60% POP not recommended for paragliding.  Seattle cloudy until mid afternoon. Bellingham clearing first with possible blue holes for paragliding.

Vancouver Paragliding: west winds to 20 km/hr and gusty in places as the day progresses. 3000 ft winds aloft northwest to 9 km/hr  becoming west to 20 km/hr as the day progresses. Seattle Paragliding: valley winds becoming northwest to 20 km/hr as the day progresses. 3000ft winds aloft northeast to 15 km/hr. With 40-60% POP, paragliding is not recommended in Pemberton, Whistler & Seattle today.  Chilliwack forecasting 60% POP and risk of thunder showers, paragliding is not recommended.  Vancouver and Bellingham are options.
