Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather July 2/11

iParaglide Paragliding Weather summary based on 05:00 forecasts. High pressure dominates with clear skies while low pressure to northwest brings rain late this evening. Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as light and variable to 11:00 and then becoming SW at 11 km/hr to 22:00.  Valley winds forecast as southwest to 15 m/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast as SW to 9 km/hr through 16:00. Ground stations in Bellingham and Seattle calling for SW and W winds, respectively, to 15 km/hr. Good day for paragliding.     

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.2: novice.  Great day for flying Pemberton with reduced lapse rate and light winds aloft means Whistler express wind will be reduced. Mackenzie for P2 Novice paraglider pilots 09:00-13:00 and 15:00-20:00. Watch for P3 intermediate paragliding 13:00 - 17:00.  Watch for potential early front arrival late in the day.  Chances 90/10. 

2. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -1.7C/1000ft: novice. P2 novice paragliding conditions at Blanchard 08:00-20:00.  Chances 90/10.

3. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -2.3: intermediate. Tiger mountain for P2 Novice paraglider pilots 08:00-13:00 and 17:00-21:00 with intermediate paragliding 13:00-17:00. Chances 90/10.

4. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -3.0C/1000ft: advanced.  P2 conditions early 08:00-11:30 and then P3 increasing to P4 advanced paragliding conditions due to high lapse rate. Watch for potential front arrival earlier than forecast, late in the day. Chances 80/20.

5. Paragliding Vancouver: Lapse -2.2: novice. Grouse Mountain Flying Team only, advanced P4 paraglider pilots. Chances 80/20.

6. Paragliding Whistler: lapse -2.4: intermediate.  Whistler team advanced P4 paraglider pilots only. Chances 80/20.
