Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iparaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather Mar. 5/11

iParaglide Paragliding Weather synopsis.  Low pressure to northwest brings mixed conditions. Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast through to 22:00 as light and variable.  Ground stations calling for less than 10 km/hr variable direction for Vancouver, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Hope.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast through 22:00 as light and variable. Ground stations in Bellingham & Seattle calling for south winds to 10 km/hr. iParaglide Right Site Ranking: Blanchard Bellingham should yield good P2 paragliding post 11:00.  Elk Mountain, Chilliwack could be fantastic 13:00 for P4 pilots, provided the the ridge line is clear of cloud, watch for a strong lapse rate and thermic conditions.        

1. Bellingham paragliding: mixed conditions, lapse -2.2 C/1000 ft. Good day for Blanchard flying for P2-P4 paragliding pilots post 11:00. Decent lapse rate for this time of year. 

2. Chilliwack paragliding: mixed conditions, lapse -2.8, P4 advanced paragliding conditions. Hike and fly Elk Mtn. if summit is clear of cloud.  Watched for possible OD snow flurries and/or showers.  

3. Pemberton paragliding: recent snow makes access difficult,  summits in cloud, with possible catabatic conditions,  paragliding not recommended.  

4. Vancouver paragliding: outflow conditions and Grouse seasonally closed to paragliding for winter.  Grouse Mountain Flying Team paragliding members only.
