Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Weather: Jan.26

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area paragliding weather forecast. Early fog and low cloud in most areas breaks up to sunny skies with ongoing high pressure: low pressure to west increases outflow effects. Paragliding Vancouver: early valley outflow to 30 km/hr easing as the day progresses. Winds aloft at 3000ft east 19 km/hr easing to 15 km/hr as the day progresses. Seattle Paragliding: northeast valley winds increasing to 24 km/hr.  Northeast winds aloft at 3000ft, 15 km/hr and decreasing to 10 km/hr.  Vancouver, Chilliwack, Pemberton, Belingham, Seattle areas not recommended due to early fog/cloud and ongoing catabatic flows and outflow placing most sites in lee side for majority of the day.

iParaglide Right Site Weather: Jan.25

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. High pressure brings mostly sunny skies with early fog is some areas. Vancouver Paragliding - valley outflow up to 40 km/hr subsiding as the day progresses.  Light and variable winds aloft throughout the day. Seattle Paragliding: valley winds light east ouflow becoming south to 16 km/hr as the day progresses.  Winds aloft at 3000ft southwest to 19 km/hr easing to light and variable post 13:00.  Vancouver-Chilliwack corridor may have a narrow window to fly late today due to strong valley outflow early.  Bellingham and Seattle should be good.

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse rate -0.5C/1000ft: Novice. Blanchard for P2 paraglider pilots 10:00-16:00. Wait for anabatic flow and sea-breeze to establish. Chances to paraglide 90:10.

2. Seattle Paragliding: lapse rate -0.5C/1000ft: Novice. Tiger for P2 paraglider pilots 11:00-16:00. Wait for anabatic flow and sea-breeze to establish. Chances to paraglide 90:10.

3. Chilliwack Paragliding: lapse rate -0.7C/1000ft: Novice.   Watch out for lee side and big outflow conditions. A narrow window may occur late in the day post 14:00, but only P3 and P4 pilots may proceed and only with lots of caution once/if they are sure seabreeze and anabatic conditions have arrived. Chances for paragliding 20:80.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area weather forecast for paraglider pilots. High pressure brings fog (low cloud) early with potential breakthrough of sunshine late in afternoon. Vancouver Paragliding - valley outflow up to 20 km/hr subsiding as the day progresses, with 3000ft winds outflow SE to 21 km/hr becoming light and variable late in the day. Paragliding Seattle: valley winds light and increasing to S to 16km/hr, with 3000ft winds SW at 38 km/hr and decreasing to 17 km/hr. Vancouver-Pemberton-Chilliwack-Seattle corridor is not recommended for paragliding today, with a narrow window possible in Bellingham.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. Low pressure brings rain and windy conditions. Paragliding Vancouver: gusty and switching valley flow to 25 km/hr and winds at 3000ft west to 42 km/hr. Paragliding Seattle: valley winds to SW 40 km/hr with winds aloft at 3000ft SW to 70 km/hr. The Vancouver-Pemberton-Chilliwack-Seattle corridor is not recommended for paragliding today.

Seattle Paragliding - E outflow in valley becoming SW to 15 km/hr, with 3000 ft winds SW to 29 km/hr. Paragliding is not recommended in the Vancouver-Pemberton-Chilliwack-Seattle corridor today.
