At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather Aug. 28/10

Synopsis: high pressure dissipating and two lows bring progressively more cloud through the day. Strong north wind aloft and moderate north wind at sea level places many sites in lee, paragliding not recommended.      

Vancouver: sunny peaking at 21C. Lapse 2.7. Grouse in lee, paragliding not recommended. GMFT paraglider team pilots only.   

Chilliwack: sunny early peaking to 22C with increasing cloud to midday with 30% POP.  Lapse 2.8 advanced. North  wind 20 km/hr gusting to 30 at 05:45. Woodside in lee paragliding not recommended. P4 advanced paragliders may try Bridal but watch for increasing wind and dropping cloudbase.   

Pemberton: sunny peaking to 18C. Lapse 2.2.  Mackenzie lower & upper in lee, paragliding not recommended.     

Bellingham: sunny to 18C. Black and Blanchard in leeside, paragliding not recommended.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather Aug. 22/10

Synopsis: low brings cloud, showers and varying winds. Paragliding not recommended.   

Vancouver: cloudy with 30% POP. Paragliding not recommended.   

Chilliwack: cloudy with 60% POP. Not a good day for paragliders.   

Pemberton: cloudy with 40% POP. Paragliding not recommended.    

Bellingham: showers. Not a good day to paraglide.

iParaglide Right Site: Paragliding Weather Aug.21/10 

Synopsis: high pressure dissipating as day progresses yielding progressively more cloud and rain in evening. Paraglide Chilliwack and Pemberton valleys before 13:00, Vancouver before 16:00 and Bellingham all day.  

Vancouver: Lapse 2.7. Grouse with good lapse rate and conditions prior to 16:00, GMFT P4 advanced paraglider pilots only.   

Chilliwack: Lapse 2.8. Woodside and Bridal P3 intermediate and P4 advanced Paraglider pilots before 13:00. Watch for vertical development in afternoon and change to rain late in the day.    

Pemberton: Lapse 2.4. Upper and Lower Mackenzie. P2 Novice to P4 advanced paragliding pilots before 13:00. Watch for potential OD this afternoon and change to rain.   

Bellingham: Lapse 2.3.  Blanchard for P2 paragliding pilots, should be on all day.  Black P3 to P4 paraglider pilots before 13:00, watch for potential OD and change to rain late in day.

14:30 Synopsis: West flow established.  Woodside and Bridal 16:30 onward, P2 paragliders.  

09:30 Synopsis: NE outflow persisting. Vancouver calm; Abbotsford NE 8 km/hr; Chilliwack NE 26km/hr; Hope E 15 km/hr.  Check back 14:30 for final call on day. 

06:00 Synopsis: high pressure continues.  North-East winds yielding lee-side at most sites this morning. Revisit at 09:00 to see paragliding weather trend.   

Vancouver: Lapse 1.7. East wind in morning.  Grouse may turn over in afternoon, GMFT P4 advanced paraglider pilots only.
