At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather Feb.19/11

iParaglide Weather summary for Paragliding.  High pressure to east causing north to east winds and bringing sunny skies. Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast through to 22:00 as northeast to 20 km/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast through 22:00 as north to 26km/hr.  Ground stations reporting windy and gusty conditions to 46 km/hr from the north or east. iParaglide Right Site Ranking:  the majority of sites in Chillwack, Pemberton and Bellingham area in lee-side today and not recommended for paragliding.       

1. Chilliwack paragliding: sunny, lapse -2.0 C/1000ft.  Lee-side and or gusty winds to 50 km/hr at Chilliwack sites: do not paraglide.  

2. Bellingham paragliding: Blanchard in lee-side, paragliding not recommended. 

3. Pemberton paragliding: lee-side conditions and outflow dominate, paragliding not recommended.  

4. Vancouver paragliding: Lee-side conditions and Grouse seasonally closed to paragliding for winter.  Grouse Mountain Flying Team paragliding members only.

Paragliding Weather Synopsis.  Partial clearing with mild high pressure. YVR winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast through to 22:00 as light and variable. Seattle winds aloft at 3000ft as light and variable through 19:00. Ground stations calling for light and variable conditions.  iParaglide Right Site Ranking:  Paragliding best at Blanchard, Bellingham followed by Woodside, Chilliwack.      

1. Bellingham paragliding: lapse -0.7C/1000ft. Great day for paragliding at Blanchard for P2 paraglider pilots.  

2. Chilliwack paragliding: clearing by mid-day, lapse -1.2.  Woodside at 14:00 for P2 paragliding conditions. 

3. Pemberton paragliding: clearing by mid-day, lapse -0.3. Hike/snowshoe and fly Mackenzie lower 14:00 for P2 paragliding conditions.  

4. Vancouver paragliding: clearing by 10:00, lapse -1.2. Grouse seasonally closed to paragliding for winter.  Grouse Mountain Flying Team paragliding members only.
