Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast as SE to 19 km/hr to 22:00 with lapse at -2.0C/1000ft. Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast as SW to 27 km/hr through 16:00, with lapse at -1.9. Not a good day for paragliding in Vancouver, Bellingham, Seattle, Chilliwack, Pemberton or Whistler.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather summary based on 06:00 forecasts. Transition with mixed skies. Paragliding Vancouver: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as light and variable through 22:00.  Fraser valley winds forecast as light.   Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast as light and variable to 22:00. Ground stations in Bellingham and Seattle calling for light to W and winds.  OK day for paragliding.

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -1.9C/1000ft: novice.  Novice paraglider pilots 09:00-20:00. Chances 80/20.

2. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -2.2: novice. Tiger mountain for P2 Novice paraglider pilots 08:00-21:00.  If sun burns through watch for increased lapse and change to intermediate conditions. Chances 80/20.

3. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -2.8: advanced.  Watch for instability due to mixed sky. P2 novice paragliding conditions 08:00-12:00 becoming P4 advanced paragliding conditions if sun breaks through. Chances 70/30.

Mild high pressure with mostly sunny skies.  Paragliding Vancouver: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as NW at 19 km/hr to 11:00 and then reducing to 15 km/hr to 22:00.  Fraser valley winds forecast as NW to 15 km/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast as N at 10km/hr becoming light and variable post 16:00. Ground stations in Bellingham and Seattle calling for W and NW winds, respectively, to 16 km/hr. OK day for advanced paragliding, with a high lapse rate.

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -2.4C/1000ft: intermediate.  Novice paraglider pilots 09:00-13:00 and 17:00-20:00. Chances 90/10.

Paragliding Vancouver: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as W at 13 km/hr to 14:00 and then becoming W at 24 km/hr to 23:00.  Valley winds forecast as SW to 10 km/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast as N at 18 km/hr increasing to 26 km/hr through 22:00. Ground stations in Bellingham and Seattle calling for W and N winds, respectively, to 15 km/hr. Good day for paragliding.
