At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site paragliding weather, based on 09:00 forecasts. High pressure brings sunny skies. Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft@3000ft east to 22 km/hr through 23:00 with valley winds east to 10 km/hr. Seattle paragliding: winds aloft@3000ft east to 16 km/hr through 22:00 with valley winds north to 16 km/hr. Leeside most sites. Marginal day for paragliding.

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -1.4C/1000ft: novice. Blanchard: wait for seabreeze to overpower outflow. Novice paraglider pilots 13:00-15:00. Chances 70/30.

2. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -0.0: novice.  Snow shoe and fly mackenzie. Wait for inflow and anabatic conditions to establish. P2 novice paragliders 13:00-15:00. Chances 50/50.

iParaglide synopsis of paragliding weather, based on 07:00 forecasts.  Low pressure dominating high arrival from west.  Mostly cloudy skies and low cloudbase throughout. Winds aloft at 3000 ft light and variable at YVR and North to 15 km/hr in Seattle. Paragliding in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Whistler and Seattle areas not recommended today. Blue hole in Bellingham and Pemberton areas.

1. Bellingham Paragliding: lapse rate: -1.0C/1000ft:  novice.  Fly Blanchard P2 novice conditions 11:00-15:00.

2. Pemberton Paragliding: lapse: +0.6C/1000ft: inversion, novice.  Snow shoe and fly Mackenzie 12:00-15:00, P2 novice conditions.

Paragliding in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Pemberton, Whistler, Bellingham and Seattle areas not recommended today.

Dress warm for Grey Cup Parade: let's hope the CF18 Fly-by doesn't get grounded.

iParaglide synopsis of paragliding weather, based on 08:00 forecasts.  Mild high pressure brings partly sunny skies, while outflow east winds gusting to 30 km/hr and in the valley's, amplified by catabatic flows, shut most sites down. Arctic air mass brings cold weather and recent snowfall throughout, decreasing access. Paragliding in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Pemberton, Whistler, and Seattle areas not recommended today.

Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -2.4C/1000 ft: intermediate. Wait for outflow to subside.  Blanchard should be on 12:00-15:00 for p2 novice paraglider pilots.   If snow, park at dip in road before summit and walk in last 5 minutes.
