Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Paragliding weather. Low directly to west brings rain and strong east to south winds. Paragliding Vancouver: 3000ft winds aloft southeast and increasing to 90 km/hr through 22:00, valley wind warning advisories in effect with peak gusts to 90 km/hr.  Seattle Paragliding: 3000ft winds south and increasing to 87 km/hr with valley winds south to 57 km/hr.  PILOTS ADVISORY: do not paraglide today in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Pemberton, Whistler, Bellingham or Seattle areas.

Paragliding weather. Low directly overhead means reduced winds and mixed sun/cloud in Vancouver & Pemberton, while winter weather advisories persist for Bellingham & Seattle. Paragliding Vancouver: 3000ft winds aloft light and variable to 13:00 and north to 9 km/hr through 22:00, with valley winds east to 10 km/hr. Seattle Paragliding: 3000ft winds north to 22 km/hr with valley winds southwest to northeast to 24 km/hr. Although blues holes will develop for narrow possible windows, expect catabatic conditions to prevail combined with 60% POP: make paragliding not recommended today in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Pemberton, Whistler, Bellingham or Seattle.

Paragliding Vancouver: 3000ft winds aloft west peaking to 48 km/hr through 22:00 with valley winds west gusting to 40 km/hr. Seattle Paragliding: 3000ft winds southwest to 55 km/hr with valley winds southwest to 48 km/hr. Paragliding is not recommended today in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Pemberton, Whistler, Bellingham or Seattle.

Paragliding Seattle: 3000ft winds southwest to 37 km/hr with valley winds south to 24 km/hr. RAin in most areas in morning with 40% POP in afternoon. Paragliding is not recommended today in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Pemberton, Whistler, Bellingham or Seattle.

Paragliding weather. Low pressure to west brings rain throughout.  Vancouver Paragliding: 3000ft winds aloft southeast to 43 km/hr through 22:00 with valley winds gusting east to 30 km/hr. Paragliding Seattle: 3000ft winds south to 30 km/hr with valley winds southeast to 24 km/hr. With POP raining from 40% to 70% throughout and strong outflow winds, paragliding is not recommended in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Pemberton, Whistler, Bellingham or Seattle today.
