Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton. Low pressure brings low cloudbase, scattered showers to rain, and gusty winds. Vancouver-Chilliwack-Pemberton corridor: winds in the valley outflow to 25 km/r and/or gusty switching conditions to 30 km/hr. Winds aloft at 3000ft southwest 15 km/hr increasing to 36 km/hr, as the day progresses. Bellingham-Seattle paragliding cooridor: valley winds building to south to 35 km/hr with 3000 ft winds southwest to 26 km/hr building to 39 km/hr. Paragliding not recommended throughout.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton paragliding weather forecast. Sunny skies due to high pressure. Vancouver Paragliding - valley winds light outflow becoming light inflow with 3000ft winds aloft southeast to 11km/hr and becoming light and variable post 11:00. Seattle Paragliding - valley winds light outflow becoming west to 10 km/hr as the day progresses.  3000 ft winds east to 8 km/hr becoming southwest to 19 km/hr as the day progresses. Good day for paragliding in Pemberton, Whistler, Chilliwack, Vancouver, Bellingham & Seattle.

1. Pemberton Paragliding: lapse rate -2.3C/1000ft: novice P2 conditions. Mackenzie upper & lower 10:00-19:00 for P2 pilots.  Chances 90:10.  Nice mellow day. 

2. Whistler Paragliding: lapse rate -2.5C/1000ft: intermediate P3 paragliding. Whistler team paragliders only 10:00-19:00. Chances 90:10.

3. Chilliwack Paragliding: lapse rate -2.2C/1000ft: P2 novice paragliding conditions. Woodside 11:00-19:00 & Bridal 13:00-19:00 P2 novice paragliding. Chances 90:10.

5. Vancouver Paragliding: lapse rate -1.0C/1000ft: P2 novice conditions. Grouse 10:00-19:00 P4 advanced Grouse Mountain Flying Team paragliding pilots only. Chances 90:10.  

5. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse rate -1.7C/1000ft: novice P2 paragliding conditions. Blanchard 10:00-19:00 P2 novice paragliders. Chances 90:10.

6. Seattle Paragliding: lapse rate -1.7C/1000ft: novice P2 paragliding conditions. Blanchard 10:00-19:00 P2 novice paragliders. Chances 90:10.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton. Sunny skies with increasing cloud as day progresses.  Low pressure to west causing outflow SE winds aloft in Vancouver-Chilliwack-Pemberton corridor.  Winds in the valley outflow to 15 km/r becoming southwest late in the day; winds aloft at 3000ft southeast to 24 km/hr. Bellingham-Seattle paragliding cooridor: valley winds building to south 20 km/hr with 3000 ft winds southwest to 23 km/hr. Leeside day in Pemberton, Chilliwack, Vancouver: paragliding not recommended. Seattle & Bellingham with P3 intermediate conditions due to south wind.

1.  Seattle Paragliding: lapse rate -2.0C/1000ft: P2 novice paragliding. Fly Tiger Mtn today for for great conditions P2 novice 09:00-13:00 & 16:00-19:30 with P3 intermediate conditions at peak.  Chances 80:20.

2. Bellingham Paragliding: lapse rate -2.0C/1000ft: P2 novice paragliding. Fly Blanchard today with P2 novice 09:00-12:00  watch for increasing seabreeze and/or southwest wind and P3 conditions  12:00-19:30. Chances 70:30.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton paragliding weather forecast. Sunny skies due to high pressure. Vancouver Paragliding - valley winds outflow to 15 km/hr easing as the day progreses with 3000ft winds aloft east to 9 km/hr increasing to 17 km/hr as the day progresses. Seattle Paragliding - valley winds east and becoming north to 16 km/hr with 3000 ft winds southeast to 26 km/hr. Marginal day for paragliding in Pemberton, Chilliwack, Vancouver, Seattle & Bellingham due to outflow.  Wait until mid afternoon for anabaitc conditions to set up. Watch for leeside conditions.

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. Localized low brings low cloudbase and outflow winds. Vancouver Paragliding: valley winds east to 15 km/hr easing as the day progresses. Winds aloft at 3000 ft southeast to 20km/hr, easing to 11km/hr post 12:00. Seattle Paragliding: valley winds southwest to 15km/hr with 3000ft winds aloft southwest to 22km/hr and easing to light and variable post 13:00.  With most of the summits in the clouds until afternoon, outflow aloft in the Fraser Valley, risk of thundershower in Pemberton, not a good day for paragliding in the Vancouver-Chilliwack-Pemberton-Seattle-Bellingham areas.
