At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Weather forecast for paraglider pilots in the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. Partly sunny skies due to mild high pressure.  Vancouver paragliding - east outflow valley winds in morning becoming light inflow as the day progresses.  Light and variable winds aloft at 3000ft. Seattle paragliding - valley winds east to 20 km/hr becoming south to 10 km/hr. 3000ft winds aloft light and variable. Wait for anabatic & sea breeze flows to establish, then provided blue holes develop, a strong day with spring conditions and big lapse rates for advanced paragliding conditions in Bellingham, Seattle, Pemberton, Chilliwack, Vancouver & Whistler.

1. Bellingham Paragliding: -2.7C/1000ft: advanced P4 lapse rate.  Epic day at Blanchard. 10:00-13:00 P2 pilots then watch for P4 conditions 13:00-17:00. With only light outflow in morning, sea breeze should start early. Chances to fly 80:20.

2. Seattle Paragliding: -2.9C/1000ft: P4 advanced lapse rate.  Strong spring day at Tiger, provided blue holes develop.  11:00-17:00 P4 pilots. Chances to fly 70:30.

3. Pemberton Paragliding: -2.5C/1000ft: P3 intermediate lapse rate. Snow shoe and fly Mackenzie upper & lower 12:00-17:00 for P3 paraglider pilots. Wait for anabatic flow to establish. Chances to fly 70:30.

4. Chilliwack Paragliding: -3.0C/1000ft: P4 advanced lapse rate. Wait for early cloud to dissipate, outflow to end and anabatic flow to establish. Provided blue holes develop, watch for strong spring conditions.  Careful out there! P4 pilots 12:00-17:00. Chances to fly 60:40.

5. Vancouver Paragliding: -2.8C/1000ft: P4 advanced lapse rate. Grouse Mountain Flying Team members only 12:00-17:00. Wait for anabatic and summit to clear cloud. Chances to fly 60:40.

6. Whistler Paragliding: lapse rate -3.2C/1000ft: XXX paragliding conditions, if blue holes develop. Wait for early cloud to dissipate and anabatic flow to establish. Be careful due to high lapse rates. Whistler Mountain Flying Team members only. P4 pilots 12:00-17:00. Chances to fly 50:50.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area paragliding weather forecast. We're presently situated between a high and low pressure system, resulting in windy conditions. Vancouver Paragliding: although we'll have mostly sunny skies, valley winds are 30 km/hr gusting to over 50 km/hr. Winds aloft at 3000ft are northwest to 56 km/hr. Seattle area paragliding: southwest valley winds to 40 km/hr and 3000 ft winds aloft southwest to 28 km/hr.  POP is 70% in Chillwack area. Paragliding is not recommended in the Vancouver-Seattle corridor today.

Paraglider pilot's forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton. Low cloud base and rain throughout due to low pressure.  Potential thunderstorms in Chilliwack. Vancouver Paragliding - southwest valley winds to 30 km/hr with winds aloft at 3000ft southwest to 29 km/hr. Seattle area paragliding: south valley winds to 32 km/hr and 3000 ft winds aloft southwest to 50 km/hr. Not a good day for paragliding in the Vancouver-Seattle corridor.

Paragliding Seattle: valley winds light east becoming southwest to 10 km/hr, with winds aloft at 3000ft light and variable becoming southwest to 8 km/hr. Wait for anabatic & seabreeze flow to establish, then good day for paragliding in Seattle, Pemberton, Bellingham, Vancouver (& Chilliwack).

2. Pemberton Paragliding: lapse rate -1.9C/1000ft: novice P2 conditions. Snow shoe and fly Mackenzie upper & lower 13:00-17:00 for P2 paraglider pilots. Wait for anabatic flow to establish. Chances 90:10
