Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Right Site Paragliding Weather: Aug 22, 2021

Paragliding Weather Forecast for the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area, based on data available at 0700.

Low pressure with 40-70% POP and SW winds  aloft to 30 km/hr. 

Pemberton and Whistler also with possibility of thunderstorm. 

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft W to 31 km/hr easing to 20 km/hr. Valley wind early W inflow to 10 km/hr increasing to 20 km/hr and gusting late in the day. Advanced peak lapse rate -2.9C/1000ft.

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft SE 24 km/hr and easing to 11 km/hr. Valley winds S to 10 km/hr. Intermediate peak lapse rate -2.6C/1000ft.  

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

Paragliding is not recommended today in Seattle and Bellingham with cloudy conditions and 40% POP. 

Paragliding is not recommended today in Vancouver and Chilliwack,  due to 40-70% POP and strong West winds aloft.

Paragliding is not recommended in Whistler and Pemberton due to 70% POP with added risk of thunderstorm and probability of blown out conditions due to arrival of Whistler Express south winds.
