Paragliding Weather Forecast for the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Squamish, Whistler & Pemberton area, based on data available at 0800.

Low pressure to west, with instability and cloudy skies with sunny breaks.

Seattle and Bellingham far enough south to be less influenced, with mostly sunny skies.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft SE at 24 km/hr easing to 19 km/hr. Valley wind SE outflow to 20 km/hr. Advanced peak lapse rate -2.8C/1000ft.

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft S to 20 km/hr and easing to light and variable. Valley winds SW to 15 km/hr. Advanced peak lapse rate -2.9C/1000ft.

Paragliding Bellingham: -3.0C/1000ft Advanced Peak Lapse rate. Potentially strong day at Blanchard if upper level clouds break up. Advanced P4 pilots 1200-1800. Chances for paragliding 80%.

Paragliding Seattle: -2.9C/1000ft Advanced peak lapse rate. Strong day at Tiger if upper level clouds break up. Advanced P4 pilots 1200-1900. Paragliding prospects 70%.

Paragliding is NOT recommended today in Vancouver, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Whistler Pemberton due to strong SE wind aloft, high lapse rate, instability and clouds associated with low pressure.
