At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Weather: July 18

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area paragliding weather forecast, based on data available at 06:00.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft light and variable becoming northwest to 30 km/hr. Lapse rate -1.5C/1000ft: novice. 

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft north-northeast to 13 km/hr becoming north to 17 km/hr. Lapse rate -2.4C/1000ft: intermediate.

Good day for paragliding.

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Chilliwack: - 2.5C/1000ft intermediate lapse rate.   Wait for early outflow to end. Woodside for P2 pilots 08:00-13:00 and 18:00-21:00 with P3 conditions 13:00-18:00. Bridal should light up nicely with northwest wind aloft and P3 conditions and soaring opportunities 13:00-20:00. 90% chances to paraglide.

2. Pemberton Paragliding: - 2.5C/1000ft intermediate lapse rate. Mackenzie for P2 pilots 08:00-14:00 then watch for increased winds aloft and P3 to P4 conditons 14:00-21:00.  Smoke from fires to north may block sun and decrease actual local lapse rate. Chances to paraglide 90% early, 70% late. 

3. Whistler Paragliding: - 2.7C/1000ft advanced lapse rate.  Actual Lapse rate likely reduced by smoke blocking sun. Blackcomb for Whistler team pilots 09:00:00-21:00. 80% chances for paragliding. 

4. Paragliding Bellingham: -1.9 C/1000ft: novice lapse rate. Blanchard sea-breeze and low altitude likely to overpower north wind aloft. P2 pilots 09:00-20:00. Paragliding prospects 80%. 

5. Seattle Paragliding: -2.4C/1000ft intermediate lapse rate. Tiger for P2 pilots 08:00-13:00 and 17:00-21:00 with P3 conditions 13:00-17:00. 80% paragliding chances.

6. Vancouver Paragliding: - 1.5C/1000ft novice lapse rate. GMFT advanced P4 pilots at Grouse. 10:00-14:00. Watch for possible northwest winds past mid-day and lee-side conditions shutting things down. Paragliding opportunities 90% early, 40% late.
