At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Weather: June 7

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas, based on data available at 05:00.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft lnorthwest to 9 km/hr becoming west to 35 km/hr as the day progresses. Lapse rate -1.2C/1000ft: novice

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft north to 19km/hr and increasing to 22 km/hr. Lapse rate -2.0C/1000ft: novice.

Good day for paragliding early.

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Chillwack Paragliding: - 2.0 C/1000ft novice lapse rate. Woodside for P2 pilots 07:00-13:00 with P4 conditions 13:00-19:00.  Bridal should be on for P4 pilots 11:00 - 20:00.  Watch out for strong west wind aloft after 12:00, possibly shutting things down. 90% paragliding chances early, 50% mid-day.

2. Pemberton Paragliding: - 2.6 C/1000ft intermediate lapse rate.  Early day for Mackenzie with P2 conditions 08:00- 13:00 then P4 conditions 13:00-20:00. Watch for possible strong west wind aloft and Whistler express arrival shutting things down. Chances to paraglide 90% early, 30% mid-day.  

3. Vancouver Paragliding: - 1.2 C/1000ft novice lapse rate. GMFT advanced P4 pilots at Grouse 10:00-20:00. Watch out for possible strong west wind aloft shutting things down. 90% paragliding early, 50% late. 

4. Whistler Paragliding: - 2.8 C/1000ft advanced lapse rate.  Blackcomb for Whistler team pilots 08:00-20:00. Watch for strong west wind aloft after mid-day possibly shutting things down. Paragliding prospects 90% early, 30% late. 

5. Bellingham Paragliding: -1.9C/1000ft novice lapse rate. P2 conditions 08:00-13:00. North wind aloft may put site in lee although its low altitude and proximity to ocean may neutralize this. Proceed or not only with caution. Paragliding chances 80% early, 50% late.

6. Seattle Paragliding: -2.0C/1000ft novice lapse rate. Tiger for P3 pilots be carefull of poosible north wind alfot.  Paragliding prospects 60%.
