Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area paragliding weather forecast, based on data available at 05:00.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft southeast to 17 km/hr, becoming light and variable.  Lapse rate -2.3C/1000ft: novice

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft southwest to 13 km/hr, becoming light and variable. Lapse rate -2.7C/1000ft: advanced.

Good day for paragliding, once outflow aloft subsides, with intermedaite to advanced conditions in mountain areas and milder conditons at coastal sites. 

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Bellingham Paragliding: -1.9C/1000ft novice lapse rate. P2 paraglider pilots at Blanchard 10:00-19:00. Sea-breeze likely to overpower outflow aloft early.  Chances to fly 90%.

2. Seattle Paragliding: -2.7 C/1000ft advanced lapse rate. Great day for Tiger with P4 conditions 11:00- 19:00 90% paragliding prospects. 

3. Vancouver Paragliding: - 2.3 C/1000ft novice lapse rate. GMFT advanced P4 pilots at Grouse 10:00-19:00. 90% paragliding prospects. 

4. Chillwack Paragliding: - 2.6 C/1000ft intermediate lapse rate. Wait for early outflow aloft to subside. Woodside for P3 pilots 11:00-19:00.  Bridal should be on for P3 pilots 13:00-19:00.  70% paragliding chances.

5. Pemberton Paragliding: - 3.1 C/1000ft advanced lapse rate.  Strong conditions for expert P4 pilots only 12:00-19:00 at Mackenzie. 60% chances to paraglide. 

6 . Whistler Paragliding: - 3.3 C/1000ft XXX lapse rate.  Very strong conditions for experts only proceed or not with caution.  11:00-19:00 at Blackcomb. Paragliding prospects 50%.
