Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Weather: Apr.12

Weather forecast of paraglider pilots in the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. High pressure brings clearing skies. Vancouver Paragliding - early sea-breeze increasing to windy conditions with Chilliwack valley strong outflow and calling for windy conditions. 3000ft winds light and variable becoming northwest to 18 km/hr. Seattle Paragliding - valley wind northeast outflow and increasing to 25 km/hr.  3000ft winds aloft northeast to 26 km/hr. Early outflow delays start of paragliding day in valleys and then strong spring conditions, with potential for leeside conditions, occur thereafter.

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Vancouver: - 2.4C/1000ft lapse rate: intermediate. Grouse should work for GMFT once sea-breeze starts 13:00-17:00.  Watch for possible windy afternoon. 70:30 Chances for paragliding.

2. Paragliding Pemberton: -2.7C/1000ft lapse rate: advanced. Upper Mackenzie 11:00-18:00 for P4s with 70:30 chances to paraglide.

3. Paragliding Bellingham: -2.8C/1000ft lapse rate: advanced. P4 pilots should wait for sea-breeze 13:00-17:00, with 60:40 chances to paraglide. Strong day, be careful of NE wind aloft.

4. Paragliding Seattle: -2.8C/1000ft lapse rate: advanced. Wait for early cloud to dissipate and anabatic flow to establish. P4 pilots 13:00-19:00 at Tiger, with strong lapse rate. Chances to paraglide 60:40.

5. Paragliding Whistler: -3.0C/1000ft lapse rate: advanced.  Strong day at Whistler for P4 Whistler Team members 12:00-18:00. Watch out for possible leeside conditons. 50:50 chances for paragliding.

6. Paragliding Chilliwack: -2.8C/1000ft lapse rate: advanced.  Bridal: wait for catabatic conditions to end and sea-breeze to overpower outflow. Chilliwack calling for 40% POP, windy conditions combined with high lapse rate and leeside at most sites make it a questionable day. Possible window for P4 paragliding pilots to fly Bridal late if North wind aloft forecast is true, could make entire range light up with lift, proceed or not with lots of caution.  Chances 30:70 to paraglide.
