At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Weather: Aug 10

Paragliding weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. High pressure continues to bring mostly skies, while some instability to the south brings chance of thundershower. Paragliding Vancouver - valley winds light outflow becoming inflow to 10 km/hr as the day progresses.  3000ft winds aloft northeast to 15 km/hr and becoming north as the day progresses. Seattle Paragliding - valley winds light outflow becoming southwest to 25 km/hr. 3000ft winds aloft light and variable. Marginal day for paragliding in select areas. 

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Chilliwack: -1.7C/1000ft lapse rate: novice.  Watch for leeside conditions at Woodside, paragliding not recommended. North wind aloft should make Bridal good today. P2 paragliders Bridal 10:00-14:00 & 17:00-20:00. Possible P3 intermediate conditions 14:00-17:00. Chances to paraglide 90:10. 

2. Paragliding Vancouver: -1.5C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Grouse for Grouse Mountain Flying Team members 10:00-20:00. Watch for north wind and possible crosswind on launch. Chances to paraglide 70:30.

3. Paragliding Pemberton: -2.8C/1000ft lapse rate: advanced.  Pemberton with strong lapse rate make it a P4 advanced day but watch for north wind aloft and leeside conditions whcih may shut it down. Proceed or do not only with due caution. Chances to paraglide 50:50.  

4. Paragliding Whistler: -3.0C/1000ft lapse rate: advanced conditions. Combined with leeside conditions, paraglidng not recommended in Whistler today.  

5. Paragliding Bellingham: -1.7C/1000ft lapse rate: (novice) lapse rate forecast is suspect to be lower that actual. With forecast for possible thundershowers, paragliding is not recommended. 

6. Paragliding Seattle: -1.7C/1000ft lapse rate: (novice) lapse rate is suspect of being lower than actual. Mostly cloudy skies with potential for Big OD and thunderstorms.  Do not paraglide.
