Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 1900 paragliding students in our 26 years of operation.

We are the the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

Weather forecast of paraglider pilots in the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas. Early fog followed by sunny skies due to ongoing high pressure ridge. Vancouver Paragliding: E outflow transitioning to W sea-breeze to 10 km/hr. Light and variable 3000ft winds aloft. Paragliding Seattle: light E outflow switching to light inflow W. 3000ft winds aloft N to 15km/hr. Early fog and outflow delays start of paragliding day. OK afternoon once sea-breeze and anabatic flows establish.

1. Vancouver Paragliding: - 0C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Grouse for Grouse Mountain Flying Team members 12:00-17:00. Paragliding chances 90:10.

2. Bellingham Paragliding: -0.7C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Blanchard for P2 paraglider pilots 11:00-17:00 with caution, watch for possible N wind aloft. 80:20 chances to paraglide..

3. Seattle Paragliding: -0.7C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. P2 paragliders 10:00-17:00 at Tiger. Chances to paraglide 80:20. 

4. Pemberton Paragliding: -0.8C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Upper Mackenzie 11:00-17:00 for P2s with paragliding chances 80:20.

5. Whistler Paragliding: -1.0.0C/1000ft lapse rate: novice.  Whistler team members 11:00-17:00, with chances to paraglide 80:20.

6. Chilliwack Paragliding: -1.0C/1000ft lapse rate: novice.  Wait for anabatic conditions and sea-breeze post 13:00, P2 noivces at Woodside, with chances to paraglide 70:30.
