At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather June 11/11

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather synopsis based on 04:00 forecasts. Transition brings cloudy skies. Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as light and variable to 22:00. Fraser valley winds forecast as west to 10 km/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as light and variable to 16:00 Ground stations in Bellingham calling for SW winds to 8 km/hr, Seattle for light and variable. Marginal day for paragliding in select spots.    

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -2.3C/1000ft. P2 novice paragliding conditions at Blanchard 08:00-13:00 with possible P3 conditions 13:00- 16:00 and then P2 until 20:00. Blanchard gate is open. Chances 80/20.

2. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -2.8: advanced. Tiger mountain for P2 Novice paragliding 08:00-12:00 and 17:00-21:00 with advanced P4 paragliding 12:00-17:00. Chances 80/20.

3. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.8: advanced.  P2 Novice pilots can paraglide at Mackenzie until 12:00 then, P4 advanced paraglider pilots only. Clearing to sun this afternoon. Chances 70/30. 

4. Paragliding Whistler: lapse -3.0: advanced.  Whistler team advanced P4 paraglider pilots only.  Clearing to sun this afternoon. Chances 70/30.

5. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -3.0: advanced.  Woodside and Bridal for P2 novice paragliders 08:00-12:00, with P4 advanced paragliding conditions 12:00-21:00.  With 40% POP and low cloud base, watch webcams for mountains to clear cloud before heading out. Chances 50/50. 

6. Paragliding Vancouver: Lapse -3.0: advanced. Grouse Mountain Flying Team only, advanced P4 paraglider pilots. Watch for summit to clear cloud and potential OD. Chances 40/60.
