Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather May.4/11

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather synopsis based on 08:00 forecasts. Mild high pressure established, yielding clearing, with low pressure to northwest, inbound this evening.  Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast to 22:00 as light and variable.  Fraser River Valley ground stations forecasting west valley winds to 10 km/hr and variable.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as light and variable through 22:00. Ground stations in Bellingham & Seattle calling for west winds to 10 km/hr.  40% POP in Chilliwack but clear in Bellingham,  ok day for P2 Novice paraglider pilots and P3 intermediates , in select locations. 

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -2.2C/1000ft: novice. Blanchard should be good for P2 novice paragliding pilots today 10:00 on. Gate is locked and requires hike in. Chances 90/10.

2. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -2.3: novice.  Tiger mountain for good paragliding 10:00 on today.  P2 novice pilots early and late, P3 intermediate paragliding at peak.  Chances 80/20.

3. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.0: novice. Good novice conditions. Pilots can snowshoe and paraglide at Mackenzie. Chances 70/30.

4. Paragliding Whistler:  lapse -2.0: novice.  Good novice conditions.  Whistler Paragliding team Advanced P4 members only.   Chances 70/30.

5. Paragliding Vancouver: Lapse -2.7: intermediate. Grouse Mountain Flying Team only, advanced P4 paraglider pilots.  Chances 60/40.

6. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -2.7: intermediate.  40% POP may require launching in blue hole windows. Woodside 10:00-19:00 for P3 intermediate pilots.  Bridal for P3 pilots 13:00 - 19:00.  Chances 30/70.
