Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather summary based on 07:00 forecasts.  Mild high pressure yielding clear skies in morning hours, clouding and/or showers with potential for OD and thundershowers in afternoon. Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast to 22:00 as light and variable. Fraser valley winds forecast as west to 10 km/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as light and variable to 22:00. Ground stations in Bellingham & Seattle calling for light and variable winds. Good paragliding morning in select spots.  

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -2.5 C/1000ft: intermediate. Blanchard should be great today for P2 novice paragliding 08:00-12:00 and 17:00-20:00 with P3 conditions at peak 13:00-17:00. Blanchard gate is locked and requires hike in. Likley to maintain a blue hole while the valley ODs and socks in. Chances 90/10 in morning and afternoon 70/30. 

2. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -2.8: advanced.  Woodside and Bridal early for P2 novice paragliders 08:00-11:30, changing over to advanced P4 paragliding conditions as the forecast is calling for 60% POP, windy conditions and risk of thundershowers in the afternoon. Chances in morning 90/10 in afternoon 30/70.

3. Paragliding Vancouver: Lapse -2.5: intermediate. Grouse should be good early, with 40% POP in afternoon and chance of OD over summit. Grouse Mountain Flying Team only, advanced P4 paraglider pilots. Chances 80/20 in morning, 50/50 in afternoon.

4. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.5: intermediate. P2 Novice paragliding 08:00-11:00 and with intermediate P3 paragliding 11:00-17:00.  Watch for 40% POP and potential overdevelopment and thundershowers in afternoon. Paraglide at Mackenzie. Chances 80/20 in morning and 50/50 in afternoon.

5. Paragliding Whistler: lapse -2.5: intermediate. Watch for 40% POP and potential overdevelopment and thundershowers in afternoon.  Whistler team advanced P4 paraglider pilots only. Chances 50/50.

6. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -2.5: intermediate. Forecast calling for showers throughout. Tiger mountain for P2 Novice paragliding 08:00-11:30 and 17:00-21:00 with intermediate P3 paragliding 11:30-17:00. Chances 30/70.
