Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather synopsis based on 09:00 forecasts.  High pressure established yielding clear skies and west winds.  Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast to 14:00 as NW to 20km/hr; switching to W to 22km/hr through 23:00.  Fraser valley winds forecast as west to 10 km/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as north to 26 km/hr through 22:00. Ground stations in Bellingham & Seattle calling for northwest to north winds to 16 km/hr.  Good paragliding afternoon for P3 intermediate and P4 advanced paragliding pilots. 

iParaglide Right Site Ranking: 

1. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -3.0C/1000ft: advanced.  Strong lapse rate combined with strong west wind makes Woodside great for P4 advanced paragliding pilots post 10:00 on.  North component aloft makes Bridal also a good choice. Chances 90/10.

2. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -2.8: advanced. Tiger mountain for advanced P4 paragliding 10:00 on today. North wind may result in crosswind on launch. Chances 70/30.

3. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.5: intermediate P3 paraglider pilots can snowshoe and paraglide at Mackenzie. Chances 70/30.

4. Paragliding Whistler:  lapse -2.5: intermediate. Whistler Paragliding team Advanced P4 members only.   Chances 70/30.

5. Paragliding Vancouver: Lapse -2.5: intermediate. Watch for possible NW wind aloft. Grouse Mountain Flying Team only, advanced P4 paraglider pilots.  Chances 50/50.

6. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -2.3: intermediate. P3 intermediate paragliding conditions, watch for north wind and potential leeside conditions. Blanchard gate is locked and requires hike in. Chances 20/80.
