At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather summary.  Strong low pressure to northwest causing low cloud-base, scattered showers and mixed conditions throughout.  Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast to 10:00 as northwest to 15 km/hr increasing to 20 km/hr from the southwest through 21:00. Ground stations calling for light and variable conditions in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Hope.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast through to 22:00 as southwest to 26 km/hr. Ground stations in Bellingham & Seattle calling for southwest winds to 16-25 km/hr.  iParaglide Right Site Ranking: advanced P4 paragliding in Bellingham, Blanchard. Intermediate P3 paraglider pilots may also try Chilliwack, Woodside and Elk if cloudbase lifts. Paragliding in Seattle, Pemberton and Vancouver not recommended today.      

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -2.7C/1000 ft, strong lapse rate and moderate southwest winds should make Blanchard epic for P4 advanced paraglider pilots that don't mind para-waiting for a blue hole.

2. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -2.5.  The intermediate lapse rate and southwest winds to 20 km/hr would yield good soaring and thermalling for P3 intermediate paragliders at Woodside and Elk, but only if cloudbase lifts and a blue hole develops. Chances are less than 30%, so watch the woodside webcam  and chilliwack webcam to see what develops.

3. Paragliding Seattle not recommended today. 

4. Paragliding Vancouver not recommended today.

5. Paragliding Pemberton not recommended today. 

6. Paragliding Whistler not recommended today.
