1-Day Paragliding Cross Country (XC) Seminar ($297)
The next progression towards safe paragliding cross country (XC) flying is to learn to link thermals to "bench up" high enough above the launch summit to make a safe glide, "track" or "jump!" to the next summit. A safe glide is defined as maintaining a Plan B (and a Plan C!) retreat to the launch summit, or a safe glide to an alternate landing zone (LZ), if a thermal is not found along the intended XC track. Repeatedly benching up above a summit, maintaining a Plan B & C retreat corridor and LZ, before gliding to the next summit is the foundation for commencing extensive cross country flights.
Our 1-day Cross Country Seminar will be comprised of the following components:
- Air-to-Air Radio Supervision and guidance during first paragliding Cross-Country Flights.
- Study of intermediate level paragliding instrumentation designed to assist you with your cross-country flying.
- Depending on pilots weight and experience, it may be possible to arrange flights on iParaglide intermediate to advanced level paragliders & harnesses (with use fee and damage deposit).
